Wukong (the protagonist in journey to the West)

Wukong is one of the most famous mythical figures in China. It comes from the four famous works journey to the West. His ancestral home is Dongsheng Shenzhou. He was born from the immortal stone since the founding of heaven and earth. He became the king of monkeys by leading the monkeys into the water curtain cave and respected as the "Monkey King". Later, he learned to master the skills of master Xu Bodhi and got the name of Sun Wukong. He learned to master such superb magic skills as the great immortal formula, the number of seventy-two changes of Disha and the somersault cloud.

The newly established Monkey King first made trouble in the Dragon Palace to obtain the golden cudgel of Ruyi, then made trouble in the hell to remove the book of life and death, and was later summoned by heaven and granted the title of Bi Ma Wen. After being enlightened by Guanyin, he was rescued by the Tang monk. He protected the Tang monk to learn from the Buddhist scriptures in the West. He conquered the demons and Demons all the way. After ninety-nine and eighty-one difficulties, he finally achieved the right result of the cultivation of the Buddhist scriptures and was awarded the title of "fight against the Buddha".

Monkey King is smart, lively, loyal and jealous of evil, which represents wisdom and courage in folk culture. From the Tang Dynasty to the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the legend of journey to the West came into being. The monkey king was regarded as a God by the Chinese in these folk myths.
